Iyuha Acu Youth Services is aimed to serve the youth on the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe with a safe environment to socialize, learn Lakota culture, language, along with helping young adults get directed with basic human needs services to live a healthy life.

Drop-In Resource Center

Drop in resource center is open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 

The Iyuha Acu Youth Services Center will help young adults fight the poverty cycle that exists on the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. 

 

This will be done by helping young adults gain access to:

social services, education services, mental health services,

internet access, mail access,

laundry services, food, shower,

job resume building,  job readiness support,

independent living skills and supportive services. 

 

Offering positive role models, and access to elders for cultural and life advise.

Teen Center

The Iyuha Acu Youth Services will operate from 4pm to 10pm as a culture based teen center to provide a safe place for youth 13-18 a safe place to socialize, and learn Lakhota Culture and Lakhota Language. 

 

The teen center will offer wifi services, food, access to hygiene, telephone services, drop in services listed in the resource center, also access to both cultural and non-cultural leisure activities.

Monday-Friday Schedule- TEEN CENTER

4:30 Circle group, smudge, prayer, song, check-in

4:45 Leisure time- (beading, sewing, internet, tv)

6:00 Spirit food- Pray and eat (youth do own dishes)

6:30  Leisure time

7:00  Language or Cultural Activity

8:30 Evening prayer, smudge and wopila song
